The tandem of Jason Yu and Badz del Prado logged a huge second round to hold the provisional lead of The View Invitational 2105, which is presented by MLanders Asia Management Services Inc., going to Sunday’s final day of action in the four-day, 36-hole event at Alta Vista Golf and Country Club.

Yu and del Prado fired rounds of 69 and 83 for a two-day total of 152 points in this member-guest tournament.  Yu fired 30 points on the first day then exploded for 43 on the second round. Del Prado had 39 and 40 points in the Modified Stableford Scoring System.

The final round of the tournament is set Sunday with shotgun tee offs at 6 a.m. and 12 noon.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Alta Vista ballroom in the evening.

The tandem of Mark Dy and Andre Borromeo fired an aggregate of 146 points on rounds of 76 and 70.  Dy scored indetical rounds of 38 while Borromeo had 38 and 32.

The tandems of Charlie Gaite and Nilo Seno and Ferdinand Chua and Thomas Castillo all have 143 points.  Gaite made rounds of 36 and 34 while Seno had 40 and 33.  Chua fired rounds of 40 and 35 while Castillo shot 33 and 34.

The teams will be classified into three groups based on the average handicap of the players.

Leading the seniors’ division is the tandem of Masahisa Kawakami and Masaro Matsuo with 135 points (69-66).  Kawakami had rounds of 33 and 31 while Matsuo shot 36 and 35.

The seniors’ division is for teams with a total age of not less than 120 years and no player must be less than 55 years old.

Andrew Si scored the only ace so far in the tournament last Friday on hole No. 2.  He won a Haojue motorcycle from Norkis and bet coupons from Pagcor.

At stake for an ace on Hole No. 15 are a Foton Thunder 4×2 pick-up, a Club Cart golf cart, an Atmospheric Water Generator from San Gabriel, and a trip ticket from Marist Royal Holidays Travel and Tours.

For Hole No. 8, the prizes for an ace are a Yamaha golf cart and a roundtrip ticket to Korea from Air Busan.

In case another player scores an ace, Si will have to share the motorcycle and the bet coupons from Pagcor.

There is also a Skygo motorcycle at stake for an eagle on all par-4 holes.

In case more than one player will score an eagle the motorcycle will be shared, but if not won in the tournament, the prize will be raffled off.
