The tournament has drawn around 350 players, who will play two rounds of golf within a four-day period until Sunday.

A windfall of prizes await the players, who will score a hole-in-one with a brandnew Foton Gratour minivan at stake for an ace on hole No. 8 along with a roundtrip ticket to Korea from Air Busan.  On hole No. 15, Marist Royal Holidays is offering a trip for two, a six-night stay at Plantation Bay Resort and Spa, an atmospheric water generator from San Gabriel Metal Arts, and a brandnew golf cart from Turf Company.

On top of these prizes Island Paints is also giving Php 10,000 to every player who will score an ace on all holes.  The prizes from Air Busan and Plantation Bay will also be given to each individual.  However, in case more than one player will score an ace on a particular hole, the other prizes will have to be shared equally.

The tournament is a two-man team event using the Modified Stableford Scoring System.  The lowest handicap of the player for the period of March to May 2016 will be used and only ¾ will be applied.

Guests who do not have handicaps registered with the Unified National Handicapping System (UNHS) will be asked to submit a club certified handicap prior to teeing off.  The committee will be making the necessary adjustment of the handicaps of non-UNHS members.

Nito’s Skygo is also offering a motorcycle for an eagle on all par-4 holes.  In case no player can score an eagle, the motorcycle will be raffled off.

Taiyo Yuden (Phils.) Inc. is once again the gold sponsor of the event with Cebu Asiatic Shipping, Cebu Mitsumi, Empire Insurance, Mariano Florido, Park Cheol Joon, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell, and Stradcom as Ruby sponsors.

The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, 6 p.m. at the Alta Vista ballroom.

Each participant will be receiving a custom-made Alta Vista golf bag, which the player can claim after playing the first round.

Prizes at stake will be for the team with the lowest gross, lowest net, and the top three of three handicap categories.  There will also be prizes for the lowest gross and the top three teams based on net scores for the seniors’ division.

For a team to qualify in the seniors’ division, the total age must be at least 120 years and no player must be less than 55 years old.
