Several hole-in-one prizes are up for grabs as The View Invitational 2015, which is presented by MLanders Asia Management Services Inc., tees off Thursday at the par-72 Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Pardo, Cebu City.

A Foton Thunder 4×2 pick-up is put on the line for an ace on hole No. 15.  Also at stake on that hole is a Club Cart golf cart, an Atmospheric Water Generator from San Gabriel, and a trip ticket from Marist Royal Holidays Travel and Tours.

On hole No. 8, a Yamaha golf cart and a roundtrip ticket to Korea from Air Busan are at stake.

The rest of the hole-in-one prizes are a Haojue motorcycle from Norkis and bet coupons from Pagcor, which are at stake on all five par-3 holes of the layout designed by Black Knight of Gary Player.

In case more than one player scores an ace, the prizes will be equally shared.

The club’s regular hole-in-one prize of Php 10,000 on all par-3 holes will also be at stake during the four-day, 36-hole event.

A skygo motorcycle from Nito’s International is also at stake for an eagle on all par-4 holes.  In case there will be more than one winner, the prize will be shared while if there will be no winner, the motorcycle will be raffled off during the awards ceremony.

At stake in this member-guest tournament backed by Taiyo Yuden (Phils.) Inc. are prizes for the lowest gross, the lowest net and the top three for the three handicap categories.  There will also be prizes for the lowest gross and the three best net scores for the seniors’ division.

For a team to qualify in the seniors’ division, no player must be younger than 55 years old and the total age of the two players must not be less than 120 years.

There will also be an individual event for the players of the sponsors, who have no partners.

All winners will receive specially-crafted plaques.

All participants will be getting a specially-made travel bag and a luggage strap as giveaways.

The tournament will be using the Modified Stableford Scoring System.  Players will be allowed to use only three-fourths of their lowest handicap for the period of March to May 2015.

Players with multiple club memberships must use their lowest handicap for this tournament.  Those whose clubs are not members of the Unified National Handicapping System (UNHS) of the Philippines, will have their handicaps adjusted prior to getting the three-fourths for use of the tournament.

There will be two shotgun tee off schedules per day, 6 a,m. and 12 noon.  Players are advised to be at the club an hour before the scheduled start.

Cebu Mitsumi Inc., Empire Insurance, Kim Jun Chul of Apple Tree, Petron Corp., Pilipinas Shell, Stradcom, JPark Resort, and San Miguel Corporation are the gold sponsors of the event.
