U11 STANDINGS-1

Lahug FC A, Bright Academy A, Suba Basbas and Springdale are currently lording it over in their respective groups in the Under 11 Mix category of the 17th Aboitiz Football Cup played at the San Roque Parish football field.

Lahug FC A is dominating Group A with nine points having won all of its three matches. With just a game left in the eliminations, Lahug FC A is assured of advancing to the knockout stages.

With four groups with five teams each, only the top two teams will advance to the next stage.

Lahug FC A is grouped with defending champions Ateneo de Cebu (AdC), San Roque Football Club (SRFC), University of San Carlos (USC)-BED, and Don Bosco B in Group A.

It is unlikely for AdC to defend its title after it only managed a single point after three games played. With only a game left to play, it will be too late for AdC to recover.

AdC lost its first game via default against Lahug FC A, and was thrashed by USC BED, 0-5, in its second game. Perhaps the only bright spot over the weekend for AdC was playing SRFC to a scoreless draw on its third game.

In Group B, Bright Academy A is taking the top spot with three points with its 1-0 win against MAD FC.

In Group C, Suba Basbas tops the leaderboard with seven points with two wins and a draw. Trailing at the second spot is Lahug FC B with five points following one win and two draws.

Springdale is the current leader in Group D with three points after it was handed a win on a silver platter when Consolacion FC defaulted in their match.
