Players of Innobadix dominated a one-day match-up against players from MCWD played at the Innodata Baminton Court in Subangdaku, Mandaue City last weekend.
The Innodata Badminton Club, Innobadix, won the men’s doubles bracket A battle winning five games against three for MCWD. It was a race-to-five affair for this category with nine games scheduled.
In the men’s doubles bracket B, Innobadix won five matches against only 1 for MCWD in another race-to-five affair.
In the women’s doubles, Innodata won nine matches against five for MCWD. It was a race-to-nine affair for the distaff side.
By topping all three groups, Innobadix was declared overall champion of to the friendly meet.
Vincent Joel Gagno, sports manager of Innodata, said that he was happy with the outcome of their first-ever badminton event and they are planning to promote similar activities in the near future.
He also thanked Ajay Bhatia and their HR department for the all-out support to the endeavour.
Ronnie Legaspi, head of the MIS department of MCWD, led his team in the event.
Innobadix president Arlon Torreemocha said that the game serves as a stress-reliever after hours of work.
Noveleo Dacua was the coordinator of the event.
