Full Point: The Cebu Sports Show
By NIMROD NL QUIÑONES
I have never been the type that would hype everything that I do, but lately I have realized that I needed to rekindle my love for television and push Full Point: The Cebu Sports Show on MyTv Cebu. (https://www.facebook.com/mytvcebu30)
This show features sports personalities mainly from Cebu with the aim of promoting sports on all levels. While some congratulated me on recent social media posts for the show thinking that this is something new, this has actually been around for 16 years.
Full Point: The Cebu Sports Show was first aired in 2010 over Wealth TV, which leased a channel on SkyCable TV Cebu. The original format was a magazine show. While I was able to do several episodes, I was not able to do a more due to limitations.
When Wealth TV became MyTV, the show continued and again, busy me, was able to make several episodes and later altered the format to make it shorter like a TV feature.

Then came the post-pandemic changes and the move to full-time streaming instead of being of a channel lease. This allowed us a wider audience and a better means to measure the views and interaction of the shows.
Full Point: The Cebu Sports Show is now mainly a talk show with guests from various sports disciplines and experts of sports-related topics.

There will be more coming in the next several weeks and I hope that in my own little way, I will be able to contribute to sports development in Cebu and the country.

This is a work in progress and I would like to thank the management of MyTV Cebu most specially Joen de las Peñas, a good old friend, who encouraged me to do this show after we incorporated Wealth TV in 2009.

Stay tuned for more of Full Point: The Cebu Sports Show and also for more on www.fullpointcebu.com, which also saw a revival after my early retirement from golf club management.
