Teams from the Philippines and Guam will go head to head in a friendly competition in the First Ko’Ko’ Cup Island Youth Soccer Games to be held in Guam Football Association National Training Center in Guam, USA on April 9, 2015.

As Philippine representatives, the Cebu Niños have been invited to represent the country in the soccer competition being the current “Palarong Pambansa” defending champions for the Elementary Division. The Cebu Niños will be represented by players from Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) and guest players from PAREF-Springdale and Bright Academy and will use this tournament for their preparation to the upcoming “2015 Palarong Pambansa” in May 3, 2015 representing the Central Visayas Region Athletic Association.

Composing the Cebu Niños who will be competing in the 12-under division are DBTC Players Luis Joaquin Buyco, Charles Clarence Unabia, Yuan Josemari Rena, Tristan Karl Enad, Paul Vincent Mapula, Will Denver Obedencio, Vince Kristi Ybanez, Jose Florencio Urot, Froi Andreon Custado, Antonio Albin Tabay, Uriel Villacarlos, Kamil Jaser Amirul, and Luis Gabriel Roxas from PAREF-Springdale. Coach Joselito Bono is tasked to handle the team.

Representing the country in “Futsal” 10-under class will be Jaime Inigo Buyco, Ernest Gabriel Berongoy, Gianrenzo Custado of DBTC and Ethan Jacob Roxas from PAREF-Springdale. The 16-under division will be represented by Christian and Churchill Jubac, Mark Oriel Unabia, Glenn Thomas Ramos and Junichi Machida of Bright Academy. Both teams will be mentored by Coach Glenn Ramos.

The Cebu Niños will also play a “friendly” with the Guam U14 National Team. The tournament is being hosted by Senator James Virata Espaldon of the 33rd Guam Legislature and Island Sports Association of Guam.
